windows and door frames and bricks, oh my!

We now have windows in, door frames in, roof beams on and bricks beginning to be added.
We almost need them to slow down so we can take each stage in.
This is just flying along.
It went from the frame to this in less than a week.
These photos were all taken on 2nd October.
How gorgeous is our big double door entry way. It makes me want to hip thrust and fist pump all at once.

And here I am stirring an imaginary pot with an imaginary spoon on our imaginary kitchen island bench. BUT it is under our real roof. I know this will sound crazy but it makes the room feel a lot larger. I think because it makes it more real now.

And our alfresco is really coming together.

I wanted to include a close up of the bricks. It not only shows a true representation of the colour but also shows how talented a brick layer really is. I was so amazed by how clean and crisp it looks. It is almost a shame to cover them up in render.

What do you think?
